I love Saturday mornings, but for a long time I didn’t. Our EI play group ended when Willy turned 3, and we felt like we were limited on the activities that we could do with him. Then, last February I felt like my prayers were answered… literally.
Senseability Gym opened it’s doors in Hopedale MA, and I have been singing their praises ever since. Senseability Gym is a wonderful place where kids can just be themselves, play, and parents can join in on the fun as well. And most importantly, it is a judgement free zone for everyone who walks through their doors. Tina Periiello Co-Director and Alysia Krasnow-Butler Co-Director are AMAZING!!! These two women know what it’s like to have a child on the spectrum, and they created this fantastic environment specifically for children with disabilities and sensory needs.
Senseability Gym has a sensory room where kids and parents can relax and decompress, an education room for therapies, and an amazing play space that is friendly to everyone. Willy even had his 4th birthday party there and all of his closest buddies had a blast!
One of my favorite aspects about Senseability Gym, is that only eight children are allowed to play at a time, and because of this rule, it drastically reduces any extra stress and noise that children might have when coming into a new place. Miss. Tina and Miss. Alysia got it right when they developed such a kid friendly place.
Thank you, thank you, Tina and Alysia. See ya next Saturday! 🙂
