Hi friends. I didn’t want to leave you high and dry today, so I thought a little Winnie the Pooh would be a perfect fit for today’s post. I’ve always loved the philosophy of Winnie the Pooh, because when life gives you lemons, grab your best friend and make some lemonade together.
For a lot of us, our kids are at the halfway mark of the school year, and whether they’re doing just fine or struggling a little, now is the time to make some changes. Now is the time to scrape beneath the surface, and see just how well our kids are doing; emotionally, mentally, strategically, and charismatically.
This is the time of year where kids are starting to really feel the stresses and the urgency to perform well in school. Statewide/mandated testing is already underway in a lot of communities around the United States, and I truly believe that it takes an emotional toll on our children’s well-being. They feel the sting when they perform below what is expected of them, and it toys with their emotions, even when they are told that they can do better. A lot better.
So I recommend, that we stop for a moment and take a lesson from Winnie the Pooh and friends. It’ll put a smile on your face.
